Why SID?
SID gives deputies the chance to work proactive, intelligence-driven cases against the most serious criminal activity in DeSoto County—narcotics trafficking, gangs, human trafficking, illegal firearms, and altered VIN investigations. The work is varied and fast-paced, ranging from long-term investigations and undercover operations to executing search warrants and testifying in court.
Agents operate in a small, highly trained team with access to specialized training like SWAT school, gang investigator certification, and vehicle containment. For deputies who want to directly impact organized and violent crime in the community, SID offers both the challenge and the resources to make a measurable difference.
